White shirt (again)

I have already talked about silk white shirts  and my love for Equipment, but cotton white shirts are another staple in my wardrobe. I have had many but since I was getting older (and bigger) it was more difficult to find one with a good fit (in my chest, shoulders and hips). That’s the reason I love boyfriend shirts, they are cut looser so I can fit everything in (there is nothing worse than a tight shirt).

Quality is important in shirts, low quality cotton makes your shirt in wearable after a few washes. My budget doesn’t allow me big expenditures so I have to reach a compromise between quality and price tag. Massimo Dutti has an acceptable quality level at a not to hefty price so today I went to try this shirt.

I love it, good quality cotton with a bit of elastan for added comfort. Small buttons so they no overwhelm it, nice neckline and collar. You can wear it either tucked in or not.

I also like in chambray, I’ll wait for it till the sales. ; )

Same things

This month I bought a few things but apart from the leather jacket I ended returning all of it. I only keeping things that I really love and fit me well. I am looking for a replacement for my Topshop black skinnies, they weren’t black any longer. I guess I washed them too much. I bought a pair from Asos and also a new neon pink bikini! I only wear color in my bikinis, last year’s is burnt orange : ) I needed a new one, last summer I nearly lost my top in the swimming pool…one of the bands got broken.

I am trying not to spend much money, the leather jacket was bought with Ebay selling (really hard work), the bikini (10GBP) and the jeans (24GBP) were on sale. I also bought a couple of cheap tops from Forever 21, one very similar to this one that I wore so much it’s nearly dead.

I buy things that are tried and tested and also not expensive. First I don’t have much money to spend and second there are things I don’t think it’s worth it to spend more money on (like cotton tops). Shopping this way I don’t add more things into my closet, I only buy things If something get trashed  or sold.

I just realized below outfit is very similar to the last post. Over the weekend I wore Topshop Jamie skinnies, AA grey t shirt and Oysho sneakers with my leather jacket.

I am starting to wear this Pull & Bear sweater again with the cropped skinnies from Zara and Repetto flats. I love the stars top but last week one of the sleeves unraveled and I had to take back to Zara, they sew it and looks ok now. They wanted to give me the money black (good) but I love it so I was the one that suggested to mend it. The stars are back, hopefully for good : )

Leather jacket

I always loved leather jackets, I know it’s a cliche right now, the trench, the navy blazer, the leather biker jacket…I don’t do trenches or navy but I have been looking for a leather jacket almost forever. They were or too small, or to expensive or the fit wasn’t right, same history always. A couple of years ago I bought a leatherette one  but I didn’t work out so I sold it and with a few more items sold in Ebay I bought this one.

Wearing leather jacket from Stradivarius , skinnies and shirt from Zara and Sam Edelman boots.

The jacket is mostly soft lamb’s leather but it has also cotton panels at the back and sleeves making it really comfortable to wear, also those panels make it cheaper : ). I have been wearing it non stop since I bought it at the beginning of the month. All an all a good buy, apart from that this month I have only bought a cheap H&M hoodie for pilates (my old one was trashed)  that can be wore also underneath the leather jacket. A good month : )
