Denim shirt

I am sick this week, lay down in the sofa. My life is miserable so I need some online retail therapy.

I have been eyeing this Monki shirt  for a while, I would like to buy a boyfriend denim shirt but no too

thick so I can layer it under sweaters. The price tag and also the shipping costs (there is no Monki here)

make me decided against it but today I got a 25% discount and free shipping so I am reconsidering it.

I make these polyvore to convince me of how useful a denim shirt will be : ) I think I could make many

more compositions. All the things feature here have a place in my closet. What do you think?????

Same things

This month I bought a few things but apart from the leather jacket I ended returning all of it. I only keeping things that I really love and fit me well. I am looking for a replacement for my Topshop black skinnies, they weren’t black any longer. I guess I washed them too much. I bought a pair from Asos and also a new neon pink bikini! I only wear color in my bikinis, last year’s is burnt orange : ) I needed a new one, last summer I nearly lost my top in the swimming pool…one of the bands got broken.

I am trying not to spend much money, the leather jacket was bought with Ebay selling (really hard work), the bikini (10GBP) and the jeans (24GBP) were on sale. I also bought a couple of cheap tops from Forever 21, one very similar to this one that I wore so much it’s nearly dead.

I buy things that are tried and tested and also not expensive. First I don’t have much money to spend and second there are things I don’t think it’s worth it to spend more money on (like cotton tops). Shopping this way I don’t add more things into my closet, I only buy things If something get trashed  or sold.

I just realized below outfit is very similar to the last post. Over the weekend I wore Topshop Jamie skinnies, AA grey t shirt and Oysho sneakers with my leather jacket.

I am starting to wear this Pull & Bear sweater again with the cropped skinnies from Zara and Repetto flats. I love the stars top but last week one of the sleeves unraveled and I had to take back to Zara, they sew it and looks ok now. They wanted to give me the money black (good) but I love it so I was the one that suggested to mend it. The stars are back, hopefully for good : )

Apart from skinnies fitted skirts are another staple in my closet. I use longer lengths for work and shorter for casual. I prefer cotton because they look less bulky on me, I already have hips, I don’t need anything else attached.I love stripped shirts (I have three) and neutral colors (grey, black, beige).

First the work wear version, with all grey and silver flats.

The weekend version, you can see I can wear color! I like dark pink and red.

I am still going bare legs, but these two outfits go easily with tights.

Today it’s my birthday, a good moment to improve my closet.

Black leather Reppeto flats, present from my boyfriend.

Gap dark wash denim legging, present from my mum.

Saint James naval top, present from myself.

Outfit 3

Shorts again, It´s really hot in Madrid these days. As I said here, I will try to wear them as much as I can. An easy, basic, summery outfit, just what I like.

My beloved Repetto flats, one of the things I bought on sale this summer along with the Equipment shirt . I am in love with them, silver is perfect for the summer (with dark ones feet get really hot!) and they are so comfortable…

I was so into them that I started to look into the black ones, they are the perfect black leather ballet shoes (this is as important as the perfect black handbag ), but they never go on sale, so my boyfriend give them to me to my birthday, lucky girl.

Even the box is beautiful, sleek black outside, pastel soft pink in the inside. I am planing to redo my shoes closet with matching shoe boxes, and these are the only ones I am going to leave. He also ordered this from, they are really quick and we also take advantage of the free shipping. I think they have one of the best selection in Repetto in Europe and good sales.

Once I have these two pairs I purged my shoes and all my ballet flats were gone, about 5 pairs, the were low quality and they have been used a lot. I think from now on I am going to develop a collection in Repetto flats, if you see any on sale size 40 just tell me!

One thing about sizes, as most of ballet flats, these runs small, they have half sizes, but I prefer to go up a size. The leather stretches really nice to hug your feet.

These shoes are expensive, about 160€, but they are high quality and you can also take them to the shoe repair to get them mended. They have a sole, not as many cheap ballet flats that it looks like your are walking on the pavement! For me they are an investment, I will take care of them and make them last.
