The first one of my german nail polishes, Manhattan Bonnie Strange in 06 The Wow-Show! I can’t get this low cost brand in Spain so I thought it was worth check it, this one is a limited edition and the perfect autumn color.
It is a dark purple-brown base with golden shine ,love it, below two coats. Nice formula, not so kin on the brush though, but for 2,95€ you can’t ask for more.
These posts about my never ending quest for a working hair routine look like empties posts. I have finished most of the things on the pic and I don’t think I will repurchase any of them (what a spoiler for the rest of the entry!)
Now, that I am in Germany with a horrible light I don’t know if I could make one of these with the german drugstore products that I am using right now. You can see the french edition here .
On to the above things, MillCreek Jojoba Shampoo is the nicest of the lot, cleans my hair, leaves no residue and my scalp is notitchy but I don’t like the smell, kind of almond scent, so as I said I will keep on looking for a shampoo. Same goes to the MillCreek Keratin Conditioner, nice product horrible smell (my boyfriend says it smells like and rotten chewing gum : O…) I will get a hair cut as soon as I go back to Madrid so maybe I can skip the conditioner for a while…
The mask is again something that I can’t stand the smell of (this post looks like more about me not liking any smell rather than talking about the products), in this case is peach scent and I hate peach. I bought Kao Essential Mask along with a few other things in Sasa, and this is the only one I don’t like. I know everybody raves about this but it feels really sillicony in my hair and weights it down a lot. I am going to straggle to finish it…
And lastly something else everybody likes and I don’t Batiste Dry Shampoo and again a smell I hate and I can’t describe. I also don’t like the feeling in my hair, I won’t repurchase this, I prefer so much the Klorane one.
Two not too bad and two fails….hopefully I will do better next time : )
A few things I have been wearing lately, mostly shorts and skirts… It’s just too hot to wear anything else.
Nail polish is Flormar 377 , it’s a one coater and lasted for a week, no chips, the perfect color for summer.

The way for me now with shorts is to cut them from a long pair, then I have my size and the perfect length.
Bright blue for summer, Jin Soon Blue Iris. The formula in this one is a bit thicker than the red and the grey, it’s harder to work with it but the color is so beautiful… Three coats here, no top coat, these polishes are so shiny.
Since summer finally arrived I am cleaning and storing my winter boots and pulling out summer sandals. I guess it’s a good time for an updated collection pic and some thoughts.
Here you can find my last post on shoes, the count was 18 pairs after exhaustive purging. But I still thought there were too many things.
Up to date I have sold 20 pairs of shoes, how can I manage to buy so many things that didn’t work for me I don’t know…but I am getting better, or that’s what I want to think ; )
I wrote about my shoe shopping “rules” in this post, and so far so good even though I managed to make a mistake, not an expensive one, in this year’s purchases.

I still got three things from this pic for sale, so I am being a bit optimistic but I think that eventually they will sell and if not I can always donate them. I am still thinking what I am going to do with my old trainers (I will probably keep them) and the black sandals (I probably donate them).

First row: Hope black boots, bought these on half price sale before they were discontinued and they are my “dressy” boots, I usually wear them with dresses and skirts. Sam Edelman Louie boots, I have had these for almost three years now and I have been wearing them to death so I needed a new pair. Since my old pair of brown boots wasn’t working for me I bought a new pair of Zara brown boots that you can see in many of my recent posts. The last pair of boots are my flat boots and they are my new assignment for next winter because they are old and crap and I really need a new pair.
Second row: Silver and black Repetto flats (as before). Nine West black pumps seen here and my “newish” Adidas trainers.
Third row: Red and black wedge espadrilles from a local store, these are the most comfortable shoes for summer, made in Spain. I love them! Sam Edelman Gigi sandal, this is my new purchase for the summer, bought them half price : ) and they will substitute the old Zara ones. Dolce Vita Dacia sandals, my dressy sandals.
I have long, thin, oily hair. I hate going to the hairdresser, they take my money and I never feel good about what they do. This means the time between cuts is very long and in consequence my roots are very oily but my ends are very dry. I used to wash my hair everyday because I can’t stand greasy hair but now I’am trying to do it alternate days. Right now my shower shelf looks like a french pharmacy stand.
I am nearly finishing most of these so it’s a good time for a little review.
Shampoo, I used to like greasy hair ones but they didn’t do any good to my ends or my scalp so now I use gentle ones, like Ducray extra-doux shampoo. I have been using it for a year or so and I like it, it leaves my hair clean and it can be used very often without been harsh to the scalp. I have already bought some more, the price it’s fine also, just a bit more expensive than the drusgtore ones. I do buy all these in a French online pharmacy, it’s much more cheaper that buying it in Spain : ) I got my two pack here.
Because I like to alternate shampoos I have been using also Phyto pytoneutre cream shampoo, I bought it on a private sale to try the Phyto brand along with the Phytodensium mask . The shampoo is average, leaves the hair soft and shiny but it doesn’t control the grease for long, you need to use less quantity than the Ducray one because it’s a cream shampoo so it lasts long even though it is pretty small. The mask on the other side it’s quite good, it really makes my hair look more dense and with more volume and shine. The smell is funny, like roots. You can see the ingredients on the Beautybar link, it really has roots extract. I bought them for cheap, it was 13,50€ for both and I would buy the mask again if I can find it at that price but not on full price.
And last but not list Klorane oil control dry shampoo, this is the reason I can get away with washing my hair alternate days. I don’t hate the smell and it works for me, I tried a couple others but I like Klorane’s best.I buy it here.

Bourjois 1 second Rouge Cerise
This is a cooler red but also very bright, two coats + top coat.
The hotter red and also the brightest with orange tones, two coats +top coat. Love this in summer.
Because you can never have too many reds : )
I live in skinny jeans, I love their fit but most of the times it’s difficult to find the right one so if I do find it I buy multiples : )
The blue jeans were actually the first pair of Topshop leigh that I bought after try them at the store. That was a couple of years ago, then they came in black, grey and red and now a new blue pair, the old one is jean’s heaven…
The new ones are not exactly as the old ones but I love them anyway… and polka dots are the new stripes aren’t they?
Finally looks like spring and I feeling like having bright pink in my nails, China Glaze Wicked Style . Beautiful cream finish with two coats.
For someone who doesn’t like color (most of my clothes are black, white or grey…) red makes a break into the pattern. I love red nails, red lips and my red jeans from Topshop. It took quite a while to find them but these are the muted shade of red that works best for me. I have been wearing them lots, probably I will have to buy another pair soon. The looks…
